Our Story
Loose Legal was founded following recognition that family law needed to change. Our ethos is to ensure that all families are able to access justice or professional guidance as and when they need it. We pride ourselves on being able to tailor each client’s experience to their specific needs.
Naomi Loose
Naomi is the Founder of Loose Legal. She qualified as a solicitor in May 2012, working as a Conveyancer, Civil Litigator and Divorce & Family Lawyer. In 2015 she additionally qualified as a Family Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer with Resolution.
Naomi is an accredited mediator, able to complete Mediation, Information and Assessment Meetings (MiAM appointments). In addition she has qualified in Child Inclusive Mediation, allowing her to speak with children through the mediation process. This can ensure their voices are heard. Naomi is also a qualified Hybrid Mediator.
Naomi is dedicated to supporting clients in finding the most constructive, cost-effective way forward, with particular expertise in guiding families through the various processes whether it be divorce, dissolution of a civil partnership or separation.
Rachel Murphy
Rachel is a Consultant Solicitor. She qualified as a Solicitor in June 2019, specialising in Civil Litigation and Family Law. Since 2019, Rachel has been working on a range of family matters, including divorce, financial matters, domestic abuse, child arrangements, pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
Rachel is experienced in representing clients in court, often helping them negotiate settlements without the need to attend costly final hearings. She is dedicated to providing clear, concise, constructive advice to her clients.
Lorraine Phimister
Lorraine is a Consultant Solicitor. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 and is highly skilled with an excellent reputation within the field of family law. Prior to joining Loose Legal, Lorraine was a Partner at a high street practice for ten years. The experience of her years at that firm have been invaluable to her knowledge and expertise.
Lorraine took the decision to move away from the Partnership so that she could dedicate her time fully to what she really is passionate about, and that is to provide an excellent level of service to her clients. Lorraine firmly believes that it is imperative to provide robust and sound advice to her clients in a manner that is easily understood at a cost that is fair and reasonable and completely transparent with no hidden surprises. Whilst it is not always possible, Lorraine strives to settle her cases amicably without the necessity of Court intervention and more often than not, this can be achieved.
Lorraine is dedicated to making sure that she fully understand her client’s needs and ensure that expectations are managed in a manner that is individual to each client. Communication with a client, she believes is key to ensuring that any worries or problems that arise are dealt with as swiftly as possible as more often than not, Lorraine can alleviate any concerns a client may have.
Nicola Cross
Nicola is a Family Paralegal.
She joined a firm as an Office Junior straight from School and undertook her apprenticeship. Nicola has been working in Family Law for more than 20 years and specialises in Divorce, Finances, Separation, Children and Non-Molestation proceedings.
In her free time Nicola enjoys baking, spending time with her daughter and her dog. She loves going for walks, days out and planning adventures!!
Linda Dewey
Linda qualified as a solicitor in 2017, having had a background in finance. She has worked in Property and Private Client, as well as Family Law. Linda covers all areas of family law, including private children, Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders, as well as financial matters. Her experience allows her the ability to draw on her knowledge of different areas to help find a positive resolution for her clients.
